Misc.

Saw an interesting copy of an article posted by Fovea3d in mini-zracer forum. It was a French Auto RCMag rrticle probably dated around early 2004. Here is the link to the picture: http://www.nanospeeders.com/photos/autorcm.jpg Article was an interview with Aki Suzuki, president of Kyosho.

Two things of interest in the article. The size of the mini-z was so it can turn around on a table. Presumably as a selling point. The other thing was he said in 5 years, Mini-Z sold 500,000 copies. Assuming that was in 2005. Mini-z demand has been pretty steady. By now, Kyosho would have sold a million copies of Mini-Z. For reference, the Tamiya Porsche 934 in the 70s was one of the car that started the R/C car revolution. It sold 100,000 copies the first year. Mini-z could possibly be a mini revolution in R/C cars.
